How close are you with your parents and are you happy?

Alot of us seem to come from physically or emotionally abusive households, but even past that are you and your parents happy?

Maybe y'all are best friends, maybe y'all hardly talk.. I'm curious about where people are with them

I see my dad pretty much every day during the week, and he's kind of an obnoxious old fuk at this point who actively fuks things up because he won't retire and step away. Because of this, I don't really go back to my parents house much because I'm not really looking for reasons to spend more time with him than I already do.

My mom is pretty cool, but I haven't seen her in a couple months because I'm not looking to spend extra time with my dad.

My parents are great. They're too lovey dovey, but I've always gotten along great with my father. One I learned to just agree and disregard with all my mother's jesus talk, we get along great as well.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

See my parents multiple times a week since I live so close to them and have a garden in their back yard.

I have a great relationship with my parents. They gave me an amazing life and were amazing parents to me.

My sister apparently thinks the opposite though as she completely ghosted the entire family on both sides with zero communication out of nowhere 2 years ago.
