"Female" is offensive. Learn that.

First of all, I am a birthing able male. I am a man through and through. I really hate the term "female." It subjugates people into a "lesser" category. The word should be shelved. It is a slur.

It is time to use proper pronouns. Let all of us, whoever we are and whatever we are be who we are and not a construct of social engineering.

It depends on the context. referring collectively to 'little girls and young women and older women' is too wordy, so 'female' is used instead.
