Now, hardly ever. I try to control myself and not let emotions get in the way of rational thinking.

Do I ever say something out loud to a driver in another car that I know can't hear me? Sure. But it isn't yelling and it's usually something like "WTH?" or "gee thanks".

I was pretty miffed in a parking lot last week. I was waiting for a vehicle to back out so that I could pull in and another driver snaked in and took the spot. Honked my horn, grumbled, was probably glaring. That's about as exciting as it has gotten in a long time.

I think that honking the horn put the fear in them as the person stayed in their car and I saw them get out of their vehicle as I was leaving the store and waking back to my car. I prefer to think that than that they pulled into the spot I was waiting on with no intent to go directly in. Like I would prefer to believe there was some sort of urgency.

I shout at people when I’m driving. Not road rage but out the window at pedestrians. I don’t yell anything insulting or mean. Just a loud, shrill shriek.

I do that because I know sometimes our thoughts and worries weigh us down. So I figured a little startle helps people forget about their problems for a minute.

Once or twice a year maybe. Usually at my kids. Feels bad every time.
