What do miscers think about internet detectives that try solve real crimes?

What do miscers think about internet detectives that try solve real crimes?
Helpful citizens or harmful menaces?
With the rise of the internet, most high profile crimes have a media frenzy.
The following effect is getting people to talk about the crime and come up with theories.
However a few go outwith of friend circles and take it upon themselves to play internet detectives.
Although wood seem like a great resource that has assisted cops in many cases, there are also times where it can go wrong.
Reddit during the Boston Marathon bombings got the wrong person and drove them to suicide.
Same thing happened when a face book group wrongly suspected someone whilst they were trying to find Luca Magnotta.
What do we think misc?

Like the rest of humanity 1/100 is a gem in a pile of chit
But 99 of them are chit
Good news is like ~75 or so of those 99 would probably be good people if they just would go back to being npcs and stop trying to be main characters.
