Still listen to it from time to time, but mostly as nostalgia. Video game rap music is better than anything out right now.

it's just become so degen nowadays. I don't even listen to the old school stuff and don't really have any desire to anymore.

Rap has the worst ratio of quality:quantity.

There are some good track that you can come across not looking like an edgelord hobo if you blast it when you are past 25, but most of the stuff is low-tier talentless garbage.
The culture behind rap-music is no-brainer absolute trash, it has been on a downward spiral ever since 80's mainstream Hip-Hop transitioned into Gangsta Rap.

They are ignorant to the true sound and sadly it’s logical for them to be when watered down garbage is pushed by the record labels, but I’ve gone into full blown diatribes about why rappers are better lyricists than any songwriter in any genre, as well as why the creativity of Hip Hop production should be hailed as an art form. Nobody listens or gives a chit.

Real Hip Hop music and culture are the polar opposite of whatever stereotypes they believe.

There are many of us alt brahs, I can't recall that. I don't really neg people. But Yeah, I agree with everything you are saying. most these fake rap fans are just surface level fans that haven't delved in the genre deep enough to know what they are talking about. I don't even value their opinion at all. Blu is one of my favourite rappers, and Blackstar is great too! Good song. And fr, writing rap is not easy, it's full of multi syllabic rhymes, double and triple entendre's, metaphors, people that talk down on that chit haven't got a clue
