middle school before license....friday were TGIF TV lineup with Boy Meets World etc....Saturday Mornings were cartoons on the couch eating cereal.

Late middle/early high 7th to 10th grade- ice rink with friends, mini golf / arcade, movies, mall walking, Vidya with bros.

Later high school maintained a lot of the above but then started including drinking, house parties, etc
Reps to all BJJ/grappling/MMA bros.

Usually had a friend stay the night and we would go to the movies or video store and rent movies, order pizzas , play video games.

Early to mid teens was hanging out with friends, ice skating, roller skating, movies, mall, etc. High school hanging out with friends and bf, concerts, movies, etc.

Hangout with the homies playing Madden, NHL, FIFA, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Party, Mark Kart... all the classic Mario games really. Watch the game with the boys if one was on. Go to the movies with friends or the gf. Dates with gf and smash. Occasionally, getting drunk at house parties, but we were not the party kids in high school.

Pretty standard stuff. Middling social standing. Not among the "cool" crowd, but had friends and an active enough social life. My friends and I were generally seen as cool enough without being "in" if that makes sense. I did play on the football team but that means little in Canada and the team only made a handful of cuts, it was easy to make.

Now, I am decently rich but nothing crazy (300K) with a hot wife. In my experience, unless an athlete makes it big, the "cool kids" don't usually amount to much. It's the well adjusted, mid-tier groups that had moderation that have the highest success rate. Put some effort in at school, but also some social skills without prioritizing the books over everything. Went to some parties, but not living for the next rager or binge drinking every weekend or getting into drugs.

My brother and I were friends with a kid on the block I grew up on. We were all about the same age and went to the same school. On fridays we'd go over to his place to play Halo. He didn't have an N64 so I'd empty my backpack after school put the console and some controllers in, bring it over to his place and we'd play Goldeneye and Diddy Kong Racing. I later got a GameCube and I would bring it over to play Smash Bros Melee

Senior year his parents got divorced and he moved to live with his mom, and never really spoke to him again after that. This was before it was common for teens to have smart phones and social media wasnt that big (there was MySpace but it was still pretty new at the time) so it wasn't popular enough for everyone to have it.

Same here got first job when I was 14 sticking grocery shelves at a convenient store my grandmother managed and my mom worked in. On Friday and Sat night worked there for about 2 years

And on really fun nights when the old Jewish guy who owned the place wasn't there sometimes the manager would organize a giant game of tag that was sort of like Red Rover in that the person who was "it" was out in the center and everyone else had to skate across. If you were tagged then you stayed in the center and became one of the chasers instead of one of the runners.
