1 meal a day is the truth

Been on this grind for awhile now. Only had water, coffee and cigs all day. I'm sorta hungover but my mind is still clear af. Feel spiritually cleansed

Gonna hit the gym then get drunk

not having 15% of your blood tied up with constant digestion during the day makes a big difference in mental energy

When I was younger I stuck to this crazy high protein diet and I was jacked but it’s unnecessary. I actually injured something one day while lifting after a giant meal and to this day I reinsure it sometimes. I notice how important digestion is now that I’m older and I don’t eat as much. I see a lot of people saying they drink beer too. I love beer but beer and protein is dehydrating your insides and over time that is unhealthy as can be.

LMAO been doing this before you joined. Eat between 10pm-2AM since last October. There's a biological advantage to it. As long as you meet your caloric intake it doesn't matter when you eat or how much you eat. 3 meals a day, 2 or 1. However, back in the day when food was a lot scarcer the mind needed to be sharp to get the food at any moment. So between waking up and eating the mind has a sense of "clarity" and only after you eat does that come crashing down and your body/mind slows down to go back to "conserving" energy. So, wake up and can spend 16 hours not worrying about eating and do what I need to do and then eat and go to sleep. Maintaining weight and is now the new routine.

Problems for regular people:
Stopping and eating roughly every 5 hours
Eating every 5 hours the general amount of calories or more than the previous meal = excess food = obesity/fat
Type of "work" or "survival" in today's world = 3 meals is not necessary. Overconsumption.
Should only be eating X amount of food relative to your lifestyle/job = office worker 1 meal a day. Construction worker doing physical labor or on feet all day 3 meals would be acceptable.

Where does this 3 meal a day come from?

Where does this indoctrination come from?

I had a mexican buddy in high school who would never eat at school.

He was a big dude weighed like 190. He would eat after school when he got home.

A good amount of people just eat out of boredom aswell for a quick dopamine boost. I'd say the hardest part of fasting is not the hunger, but the boredom

Once you get used to it though its goat

Bloodwork is fine. The human body can adapt really efficiently and quickly. Everyone's been suckered into this idea of 3 per day is essential for good health. Back when society did a sht ton of manual labor yeah getting fed throughout the day was probably actually pretty necessary. Nowadays not so much. The reduced blood for constant digestion is an interesting angle. Broscience possibly. Healthy is subjective actually. You can have someone who an obese fatarse who has the bloodwork of a marathon runner and a exercise junkie who "clinically" is less healthier than the other. The mystery of the human body. Our baseline of what is "healthy" is just that we had to start somewhere and combined things into a central point. What person/persons were used for that may have been good for them but who's to say the other 99% of the population is the same. You have fit young athletes dying young while life long smokers or druggies live up to 70+, there's no logic to that. Not from a health perspective.

The key point is to just listen to your body and find what works for you. Trying to chase all of these standards or expectations is just going to drive you crazy. There is no optimal health. There's only what works best for your body. You can find medians of everything and they can come in different forms. Working out once a week, 3 times a week, every day, or phuk not even at all.

Switch out boredom with addiction because that's what it actually is. Mind over body. People's minds are weak and they don't say no to their bodies desire to eat. Your sleeping cycle or the Circadian Rhythm or "internal clock" is the same for eating. You can change it and it doesn't mean you'll drop dead or become any less healthier. Sleep is sleep and food is food. Your body has a LOT of leeway in how much it actually needs. 6 hours of sleep for most people is fine. Our nutrition values are set at 2,000-2,500 calorie diet which can easily be filled in one sitting.
