Question for you religioncels?

Forget that you all follow a religion that was created in like that last .00001% this planet has existed, .000000001% this iteration of the universe has existed.

Who/what created your God? Srs.

This is not meant to be some sort of "gotcha." Just genuinely curious of how that average religious person reconciles this thought.

Non religious people also have to wrestle with the origins question. Even the matter and energy of the big bang has to have an origin.

So this one sole "being" has always existed, then just one day decided was tired of being alone, so created an entire universe? And a specific species for the purpose of worshipping it? Created this species on a planet, in a solar system that accounts for some infinitely small percentage of the total mass of the universe? And the other 99.9999^99999 of the rest of the observable universe is

It's a natural question to ask. Particularly since we experience time in a linear fashion. Everything within our perception has a beginning and an end. However, time isn't linear for God, and the implications are generally too much for humans to wrap our minds around, because the only existence we know is linear time. Plenty of Bible passages support this idea, it's just hard for people to think about things that are completely foreign to them.

(as an aside, that counts as my single annual post on religion, no more until January)

But srs, religion to me is more about cultural heritage than anything else. Pushes good morals, gives excuses for families to get dressed up and network at church functions, visit family for assorted non-mainstream holidays, and while I dont really 'pray to god' it does allow me to have some moments of clarity/meditation/whatever you want to call it in church.
Kinda hard to find comfort/a sense of community in churches anymore now that theyre all are flying faag flags and the priests are sexually assaulting children left and right.

And if they're not doing any of that they've gone full potato in the opposite direction and stopped talking about God altogether and have basically become extensions of Fox news bitching about liberals for the entire 2 hours.

We can grasp the idea that a circle has no beginning or end,

Why is it hard to grasp God has had no beginning or end?

He is the alpha and omega.

Circles exist. We can physically observe a circle

IDK, i would have to go on a deep religious journey myself to figure those kinds of things out. But I do know that god is real, and we are all illuminated by the same energy that god is made of. We are in this world to struggle and reach back to god. If you had an honest curiosity on these things you wouldn't pose questions like that, but you would seek out experts and see what they have to say on the subject.
If I may be allowed to use a simile, creation and creator are two lines, without beginning and without end, running parallel to each other. God is the ever active providence, by whose power systems after systems are being evolved out of chaos, made to run for a time and again destroyed. This is what the Brâhmin boy repeats every day: "The sun and the moon, the Lord created like the suns and moons of previous cycles." And this agrees with modern science.

Our human brains can't comprehend permanence or infinity, so the thought that God was not created doesn't compute

Think of creation and realize you eventually hit a dead end. Cause there had to be a power or being that started it all

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God does NOT need us. He never did. He does not even need us to worship Him. He created us out of pure Love. It wasn't out of boredom, or loneliness. LOL.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

Religious coffee mug philosophy isn't really much of an answer.

"God does NOT need us. He never did. He does not even need us to worship Him. He created us out of pure Love," what evidence of ANY of this is there? The gospel itself is all that is offered in terms of proof of the gospel? Pretty thin.

Evidence? LOL. Short of God actually manifesting in physical form in front of you and answer your questions directly? That's what you want. You aren't going to get it. You either have faith, or you don't.

You can read and study the whole gospel, Old Testament and New Testament (all 73 books). Look at human history, and understanding of the divine nature. Or you don't, and harden your heart against it with wanting some "proof" suitable to your understanding.

It's your free will to do either.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.
