Taking it to that extreme is cringe.

The people that geek out too hard about the 'science' of lifting never really have the resume to back it up. Sorry but Mike Israetel, Jeff Nippard and any of the other fitness based influencers are all in the same spots. They aren't putting anyone on Mr Olympia stages.
Look at what the top trainers are having their clients do. When I say top trainers. I meant the guys that have clients on the Olympia stage/winning Mr O. Its never any of the 'science' based workout nonsense that's being peddled.
Its all hit each muscle once per week with high volume. Literally all of them. If there is a glaring weak point they might target that muscle a second time per week. But that's it.
You might have some guys who run a different split in the off season. But literally everyone is building their physiques on a traditional bro split.

And after 15-20 years of consistent training and effort. They'll get mogged by an enhanced lifter who's been training for a year or two that just pumps iron to failure 1x per week for each muscle group.
The cold hard truth is Tony Huge has proven if you are going to nerd out around the 'science' of anything. It should be the science of pharmacology/enhancements. A dude who just trains for fun and eats whatever he wants but runs the right cycle can make more progress/build more muscle in just 3 months then the natty dudes can in 10 years.

If you're fine lifting recreationally then go for it, but you don't need a 1000+ videos on how to do it. For the record I like Omar but I'm not taking advice from a guy that still looks dyel in a tshirt
You do realize Mr Olymians are just roid kings? Henery Rambod is a famous coach for Mr Olympians. Here is a training vid with Derek Lunsford (the guy whose a favorite to win Mr Olympia this year)
9hCjJ4oyNfI
How will any of these help a natty guy?
Building muscle is building muscle. I've been training 17 years now. First natty, then enhanced. Certain people might respond better to certain workout styles/programs. But the idea that one style is more suitable for a natty and one style is more suitable for being enhanced has not been my lived experience. I've tried everything.
Nerding out over the right amount of 'reps in reserve' and not training too hard so you can hit your muscles again in 2-3 days is not practical for the average person to adhere to over a long period of time.
Also unless you literally just lift, eat and sleep like those influencers. There is no guarantee you are ready to train each muscle again 2X per week. Certainly not over a long period of time.
Why would you take advice from a Mr Olympia on how to train???
If you are going to do something. Would you rather take advance from someone who's the best in the world at it on a competitive level, or the guy that trains them? Or a guy that's completely irrelevant off the internet. Who could never compete on a serious level or even train anyone to compete on a serious level?
The scientific studies that guys like Nippard go on about are always flawed. They don't point that out because its hard to sell workout programs/splits when their theories go to hell. And the majority of guys selling workout programs are going to go on and on about the science and the studies.
You can't make money telling people go to the gym. Hit a muscle to failure with 10-20 sets on it. Then rest for a week then do it again. And do that for each muscle.
