Im so tired of movies and the unbelievable characters in them

The other day, I watched "Nobody" (with Bob Odenkirk from Better call saul and Breaking bad). Not a bad movie at all. But i feel like its literally a low budget John Wick film.
-Former living weapon who left the life and is trying to be a normal guy
-Normal guy gets dragged back into his previous life
-The main bad guys are russian
-Heavy emphasis on combat and violence (Wick had waaayyyy more guns though)
-Main Russian is not completely connected to reality
-Normal Guy absolutely wrecks the bad guys despite the HYYOOOGE difference in man power
-Normal Guy saves the day

My problem is that its so close to John Wick. It should have had some similarities, but not nearly the SAME flick. This is a minor point, but the point stands for all of cinema. Aside from the black guy on the bus (low level henchman) and the Black Russian security guy, all the ass holes in the movie were white guys. I know, things are (D)ifferent now, so white people are the only ones you can make fun of and stereotype into these rolls. (I remember in the 90s, the bad guys tended to be black gang members so its like script writers are like "Oh no! We were so wrong for stereotyping black people, so now we have to make it right by making white people unbearable!!!)

I'm trying to watchPreyright now, its just...stereotypical.
-Main character is female (no issues there, i love a bad ass female lead but not when the bad ass female is hollywoods definition of bad ass)
-Shes a native american (zero issues there) but everyone in her tribe (at the beginning, where i'm at) are ass holes and treat her in the stereotypical "Every male is a chauvinist and misogynistic guy so we have to make the lead female EVEN MORE BAD ASS.
-I cant decide if them speaking english is stupid or not. I dont really wanna read subtitles for 1.5 hours though

CGI so far is not great but i dont really care about that. I'm not far into the movie now so i'll check back later

Fuk man...maybe im just jaded but Its very hard for me to even want to watch damn near anything today because its probably gonna be woke crap. Just make a movie free of political influence and liberal reatardedness. PLEASE. I just want things to feel natural and not forced

Update:
-She falls out of tree and her brother carries her home. Now she has this renewed sence of determination to be a hunter. Holy chit this sucks so far
-Wolf vs Predator. Doesnt seem likely that t he Yaucha wpu;d actually want to hunt a prarie wolf (which are pack hunters btw so it being alone is just unrealistic)
-Oh god damnit...now its the montage where she makes weapons...she made that ax with a rope and practiced with it completely defying physics (yeah i know im focusing on dumb stuff now but i just cant switch gears out of this mindset))
-The girl is trying to get out of the quicksand and she cant throw the axe rope she made and then showed off super human abilities with it

woulda been a cool movie if John Wick never came out. It's the exact same movie.

it still is in my opinion. I love Odenkirk as an actor. I just wish his movie was more..unique

There's plenty of unique movies with interesting leads. You just need to broaden your horizons beyond Hollywood a bit, because ATM it is sucking. Foreign films are a go.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

Gotta put your money and time where your mouth is I guess.

I don't think I've watched a "believable" movie since pharking Napoleon Dynamite, srs.

Times change, writers adjust to "social needs." And so too should review processes IMO. You know what would make lots of $$$ off of ad revenue? A TV/Movie review website, where the reviewers rate movies based on things such as "realism," "how woke is it," being two specific criteria that is worth like 3 points out of 10 by itself, the remaining points are about how good/deep/funny/emotional-invoking/etc. it is.

movies today are made to appeal to feelings.

the general sentiment is that people are retarded, simple, pleasure driven, and lacking ability for any critical thought. our movies are going to reflect what the audience is.

the golden era of movies was from 1985 - early 2000s, maybe you can argue up to 2010. after that, it's become 95% garbage, 4% passable junk, 1% movie that would have been considered "good" during the '85-2010 era, that is now considered "amazing/ground-breaking" because we've set the bar so low

You mean you don't like DEI based movies with the virtuous negro overcoming evil whitey and bedding the star white girl in each and every Hollywood release? Or the LGBTQIFNV****IT crew getting overrepresentation casting with their ugly butch ass looking "women" and fairy ass soy boy trannies?

Shocking!

You're only just noticing now that all bad/dumb guys are white and all good/virtuous guys are "minorities"?

This is no surprise...Movies more than any other art form are informed by other movies. One movie that does well will spawn a handful of clones. Nearly the entirety of the Italian film industry from the mid 60's to the the late 80's was nothing but rip-offs of successful American films.

Meh, it was fine. There have been plenty of "John Wick" movies before John Wick. Plot was more similar to the Viggo Mortensen movie, A History of Violence or Gina Davis's Long Kiss Goodnight than John Wick anyway.

Nobody was worth it for the scene with Doc Brown in the nursing home alone.

Most movies made after 2000 are POS’. The only good movies I’ve seen since then that isn’t a cartoon is Top Gun Maverick and the Elvis movie.

We need new writers with fresh ideas. In the comic book industry, publishers went after what was popular, such as vampires, or romance. They didn’t try to publish anything original. The same is true in Hollywood. I think when a film is an exact copy of another film, it is because producers hired a writer to chase a trend.

Movies cost a LOT of money to make. Hollywood wants a return on investment and goes with the safest bet. Want better quality movies? Support smaller budget movies and stop going to see Transformers 7, F&F 12, and Disney rehashes.

Movies, music, art, sports, video games, whatever. They are mature industries now, they aren't art forms. There's never going to be another Scorsese, Hitchcock, Kurosawa, or Kubrick who are masterful story tellers. That era is dead and gone RIP. The guys who make it to the top now are well connected spreadsheet bros who use algos to figure out how to extract every last penny from the NPC masses.

Every hit song needs to be built for tiktok. Every hit movie needs to be a woke franchise or something with a built in audience that reflects the current political scene. Every video game needs to be full of microtransactions. Time to just give it up and accept the golden era is over. At most, we're going to get a small handful of tolerable movies each year and the rest will be franchise **** slop.

This is what happens when formerly capitalist markets become controlled by a handful of mega corps - they have total control over the supply side.

I'd go back further than that, despite all the technology most film these day are just well made rubbish, full of overblown special effects and poor dialogue. Some of the really old films had far more depth and substance. But alas people now have short concentration spans and old films are deemed slow and dated!

We are so desensitized to everything they have to exaggerate a lot of chit in order for it to register in our haywire ass brains.

Imagine trying to stimulate an emotion or get someone's attention after chit like Gladiator and the Broadway hit musical Rent....
