Entry fee is a case of beer or a bottle.

Buy a couple cases to kick things off and thats it. You cant be buying booze for everyone, thats just stupid.

i've had about 15-20 people over at a time.

as long as your guests aren't chitheads, they'll bring something like booze or some kind of food.

i made some finger food like sliders and stuff, had chips out, had prob 3 fifths of whatever booze, and like three 6 packs in the fridge pre arrival. People brought more stuff and I had more leftover than I began with.

was prob $250 worth of chit.

This is da wae.

You want 300-400 drinks worth. So like 8 or 9 1.75L handles of the cheap stuff (seagram's as an example, is usually $9 for 1.75L). Then you want 10 or so bottles of various cheap ($4 or less) juices, multiple flavors of course, along with some fresh fruits to throw in there (mostly for aesthetics). Should be around $110-120 depending for everything.

If you want you can save back a bottle or 2 and get some 2L soda bottles if people wanna create their own mixed drink. Or just throw in a few boxes of the cheapest beer possible (PBR).

Forget the food.

Don't invite people over and expect them to cover themselves...

Yes, it's proper to bring food/drinks over. Especially if you plan on drinking heavily.

But you should have food and drinks for everyone.

If this is a problem, don't have a party. It's not a for profit business opportunity

40x $15 a head for food, and 10 24's @ $40

400 in beer, 600 in food. 1000 dollars?

That should get everyone 6-8 beers a person, and a couple burgers and sides
