For many it’s the feeling of brotherhood and the sense of some sort of significance. + it’s something to do and their moral compass is usually skewed.

Most are genuinely low IQ, yes.

Some are unfortunately intelligent enough people born into neighborhoods where gang activity is prevalent. I grew up in a hood area but thankfully not a neighborhood controlled by gangs. On the west coast I understand some people only start banging to survive. It’s still retarded to stay in after 18, but for those who are unable to escape it just consumes them.

A small percentage of gang members are intelligent but also narcissistic opportunists who use the organization to attain power over others. If Hillary Clinton was raised in East LA, she would be an example of this type of gang member, for example.

Yes they are. That’s what makes them dangerous. They don’t think about their actions at all, and do anything for their “set.”

What blows my mind is when you see people with gang tattoos all over their face, and they get arrested constantly and released. Why not just put a bullet in their heads and make the world better?

It's a lack of family. Same reason people choose the homeless route even when they get a housing option. They feel like they belong for the first time.
