Despite how well received this franchise is as one of the best, as well as being well written, action series in cinema history, it has one of the goofiest gimmicks in it as well. Like, yeah, in a movie for kids, I can believe that a character can put a really well done custom mask and look like another character. But the fact that these agents are passing themselves off as other people to individuals that should know better, it's kind of lulzy.

Like you can't tell that dude you've seen or work with a thousand times now has a head that seems to be abnormally large? Or that they seem a little short? Chubbier? Skinnier? Act a little gay? Haha. Yes, it's a movie. Just find if funny since this franchise is supposed to be somewhat serious.

Still it's so integral to the series that it's just not MI without the masks. At least they tried to tie it to real tech with 3d scanning/photogrammetry, 3d printing etc

i like those movies. they are well done. one of the few movies i can watch today. 99% of what Hollywood produces today is garbage.
