There's a place in Denver called Zanzibar that's still open. The show had them change the name to something else, but the owner changed it back to Zanazibar. It wasn't anything special.

those shows are all fake.

I saw some behind the scenes article on a show about people who go looking for houses, the producers frauded so hard they had movers take out most of the stuff of this couple's current house, restage it with different furniture and had them walk in their own damn house and pretend they were looking at a new house to buy.... like wtf that defeats the entire premise of the show.

point is, they give zero fuks about "saving the restaurant" or "saving the bar" ect in those shows. they care about making episodes aka muh content.

House Hunters.

Several years ago someone let it leak that they basically just go tour a bunch of their friend's houses and stuff, and usually already have the house they eventually buy.

I always thought it was pretty obvious that these kinds of shows are staged. I'm totally sure Gordon Ramsay goes around screaming at people like a deranged lunatic all the time off-stage IRL and became the wild success he is today that way.

Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, the original British one, is about 99% real. He seems super reasonable and only ever screamed like twice the entire time, and it was totally warranted. For the US version the editing makes it look like he's some unhinged lunatic, but I guess that's what appeals to the American audience...

All that "reality" TV chit's every bit as staged as professional wrestling. Wrestling just has flashier costumes for it's performers.

Lol at "reality" TV. I tried watching bar rescue once, and it was pretty much Taffer yelling for a good 10 mins. Then bringing his "Experts" to yell or berate the bar some more, and then get some paid actors to come in during the stress test to complain.

To be fair they'd probably have gone under anyway. Most independent restaurants and bars are ran like total chit. People like to chit on chain restaurants, but they are some of the better ran establishments when they're managed decently.
