Is there anything more funny than people who cry about landlords

Always laugh my ass off when you hear a brokie crying about how mean their landlord is raising their rent or charging them fees for chit that most of the time they agreed to in their lease.

Its funny tho cause its always people whose landchads are just regular guys. Rentcells cry about how unfair it is that people are getting rich of their basic need for housing yet they seem to prefer to rent from a large corporation rather than a regular dude.
money, cars, clothes and hoes is all a miscer knows

Laugh? No, not really. It's more just sad overall. It makes me appreciate my own position in life and the tremendous amount of work and sacrifice I put in to reap what I'm currently sowing.

Why would you willingly laugh at another human being's pain and suffering?

1) If you've done that before, we'll find out about it during the background/credit check. Then we won't rent to you.

2) If you haven't done that before, we've likely already made enough profit off of you to cover those few months. Then you'll have an eviction on your record and will have a VERY difficult time finding a spot to live.

In all my years of renting, I only ever had problems with one landlord who was trying to keep a portion of the damage deposit

1) True, but there's a first time for anything. And even if thats the case, who you know is EVERYTHING. I can get rents from friends of friends with ease, and even the new apartment I'm moving into didnt require no references so its not like its hard to find a new place even if thats the case

2) I know people that are still tryna evict people after a year. It can go on for some time. Also, dont forget the damages that we can do to your property.... brb destroying the entire property, lets see how well that saved money serves you then

RENTCEL Wins again

My only issue with misc landlords is some of them actively smear renters. Very condescending. I think owning is great and it’s a great stream of revenue for those of you with tenants. Happy for you.

Just don’t be smug dikhole about it.

Renting is just like any other business relationship or relationship in general, there's give and take and probably some compromise

Nobody has all the power over anyone else, that's not the way the world works, though people who have nothing to lose tend to present greater risk

Same. Also because I'm a good tenant and know my rights. Every time a landlord tries to overstep or ask for things they aren't entitled to, or get slow on fixing things it's an easy conversation. I also always remind them that it's their house, not mine, so it's in their best interest to repair things. Or I just tell them I'm getting it repaired and I'll deduct it from next month's rent with a receipt. Never had pushback.

Landlords should be thanked for providing a risk free roof over someones head that allows for increased mobility, srs. This is coming from a renter too. Been renting for 5 years and have been stacking the difference in savings into the market/savings. All my friends who thought they were so smart buying in the last few years are all house poor with HELOCs and consooomer debt that they tie into their mortgage. LMAO I havent lifted a finger in maintenance. And my net worth will exceed their even with the gains they made on their homes in 2-3 years assuming 10.8% return.

But they have a home and Im subject to the whim of another man...so theres that.

I never understand when people whine about HOAs. They knew they had one when they bought the place, They dont just magically wake up one day and have an HOA.

I'd hate to be a landlord in this market. We're going to reach a tipping point eventually and people are gonna revolt against their landlords

All you have to do is a quick Google search and see that we've been here before and it usually ends badly for the landlords (either with harsher regulations against you or being outright flogged)
