They aren't giving anything good for wisdom teeth removal these days?

My friend got 4 wisdom teeth extracted and the oral surgeon sent her away with .... instructions to take advil and tylenol. What kind of sh*t is this? I had 3 out 10 yrs ago and got 20 percs.

I got a few out 10 years ago as well and got a heap of codeine pills. Depends on how deep into the gum they were though, if they were already mostly out it probably wouldn't hurt that much.

How did yours heal up? Did you have to take all your pills? I had 10 left but they disappeared. I think someone swiped them.

I think my co payment was $1000. My friend who had 4 taken out last week paid $2400 and her insurance paid another $2400. If you don't have insurance I think they'll work with you.

My wisdom teeth were impacted, never bothered me and they removed mine at 16. They didn't even put you under back then...just gave me a shot of novocaine. I even removed the stitches on my own because I didn't feel like going back to the dentist lol...

When I had mine removed they gave me a script for oxycodeine but I didn’t even fill it srs, too worried about getting addicted

The first two days I felt fine didn’t even need Tylenol or anything. Then food kept getting stuck in the sockets and that hurt. I’d take Tylenol to be able to sleep then halfway into the night the Tylenol would wear off and I’d wake up in agony and have to take more

I think doctors are watched very carefully and if they prescribe too many opiods they are investigated. At least that's what I've heard.

I know someone who just got spinal fusion surgery and received 2 weeks of vic odin and then was put on Advil.

Anyone watch Dopesick or Painkiller?

I only had 2 wisdom teeth. Don't even have any on the top. The two on the bottom out of nowhere started growing into my molars and the pain was unbearable. I remember like 5 days later I got them removed and they were really impacted. Knocked me tf during it. they gave me 800mg tylenol with codene after

I took it twice and said I'll never take any pain pill again. Up until that point I never had anything more than 2 nsaids at a time. This codene chit made hot and loopy. I was sleeping so much and not even eating. Felt awful.

The painful part for me though was my jaw. I had nearly debilitating jaw pain for weeks and could barely sleep. Idk wtf those guys did but thankfully it went away before I went insane.

You are highly evolved to only have two wisdom teeth. Those teeth were all that the cavemen had left after age 20 to tear apart meat. Now we keep our teeth forever and don't need the wisdom teeth. One day nobody will have them... that and the appendix.

Highly evolved human specimen crew.

Seriously though I've never heard of anyone else only having 2 total and not 4. Weird.

Edit: ^ Well kimm only had 3 so there are more of us oddballs out there I guess haha

Drug overdose is literally the leading cause of death for under-50 in the USA.... so I guess they are trying to stop handing them out like tic-tacs.

Too little, too late tho.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed a couple years ago. They gave me vicodin after, srs. They even prescribed it to me twice. I had like 6-8 pills left over, and my ex who lived with me at the time asked me to throw it away, calling me irresponsible/inconsiderate for possessing it still, because she used to have an opioid problem.
