In the 70s and 80s Mexico was an up and coming nation, tourism was booming and it seemed to have a bright future.

In the past 20 years Cartels and corrupt government have ruined the country, it's people are suffering badly and this has caused mass immigration and all their drug **** coming over the border.

It's time to annex Mexico and make it great again

Get tourism booming again and it's a great place to go on vacation

But that’s interesting you mention Mexico was an up and coming nation in the 70s-80s. I’ve heard the same about many Latin American countries during the 2nd half of the 20th century being on the development upswing with growing wealth and prosperity. Brazil, Argentina and Chile have been mentioned in these terms. Then something went terribly wrong around the 90s and now they’re all chithole countries. Was it the embrace of socialism, cartels, something else?

Not sure on the exact details but something went badly wrong in the back end of the 80s.

My parents went on vacation multiple times in the 70s, according to my old man it was one of the most desirable destinations with exceptional resorts and tourists were throwing money around like crazy there.

To make it work out, the military would have to go in a go scorched earth on the drug cartels.

I do not believe that is a guaranteed win. They can do whatever they want with the Mexican government as they own it. Their existence would be at risk and they would respond accordingly. That is not a pretty or easy fight, even if you do win, it will be at a significant cost.

Cartels set up shop in the 80s boyo. It started with Marijuana with Miguel Felix Gallardo and the Guadalajara Cartel.

The thing is, he kept a tight grip on the other “territories”, but he was the man in control. The Mexican government wanted him so badly, they openly made deals with the heads of the other territories to ambush Felix, and it led to everything being pinned on him and everyone else being free.

This was in the 90s, and ******* was the main export. The incredible ******* money is what led to the surge of violence because whoever controls the routes is a multi billionaire. Back to the Felix thing, it didn’t work out like the Mexican government envisioned. Each territory became more powerful and ruthless without a strong leader, and eventually a former car driver for Felix became El Chapo of the Sinaloa Cartel.

These days the cartels own at least half of all politicians. They have tanks, anti air defense systems, tons of 50cal machine guns, there’s rumors of emergency submarines, and limitless violence levels. What COULD stop a lot of it would be to legalize *******, but Americans LOVE ******* and the CIA and others enjoy the control they have right now so that’s not gonna happen.

- Europeans build infrastructure and establish rule of law in these lands, force native populations to speak European languages

- Today, MILLIONS of people from these lands are traveling thousands of miles and risking their lives to live under the EUROPEAN's again in European lands.
- Leftists and cuckservatives continue to espouse how everyone is equal and that the independence for these people was a good thing.
- Many are saying that Europeans need to accept these people into their lands; yet these same people would say that European colonialism was the worst thing ever.
