The Shining: Was Danny molested by his dad? (spoilers)

* I can't believe I have to put spoilers in the title for this movie but I feel like I have to or someone will bitch. *

I just watched The Shining again, did some research, and I (finally) understand some of the events. Theories (I got from other sources) I believe to be true:

- Danny never entered room 237. He was molested by his dad and strangled, shirt was torn. Danny then lied to his mom about a woman in room 237 because he couldn't grasp his dad doing that to him.

- Jack never entered room 237. He didn't need to since he knew there was no lady who strangled Danny since he did it. He dreamed about that room and the lady in the bathtub. The scene was his dream.

- There were no ghosts in the hotel, ever. There was Jack and his imagination. Wendy also imagined all of the characters including the bear giving head to the party guest. That symbolized Danny (bear) and Jack (pervy molesting dad). She knew what was happening.
The hotel definitely was possessed but there were no characters who appeared in reality.

- I still don't quite get the pic of 1921 ballroom pic of Jack and his "always" being the caretaker. Reincarnation doesn't make sense since only 10 yrs prior Grady killed his family. Not enough time for him to die and come back again as the caretaker.

Maybe none of it really happened and what we saw was what Jack actually wrote in his book.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

It’s a theory but I take the story more at face value. Don’t buy into the moon conspiracies either.
