because they are capable of controlling it. They own a huge portion of it, they can also manipulate/ban exchanges. They can use the media to manipulate price. They have access to hundreds of millions of computers through backdoors etc...

it's also a public ledger. They've busted many people under the guise of 'dark web money' before monero was realized

I was there from the beginning back when it was $0-10. There was one use for it and one use only: Silk Road. If there was no Tor or Silk Road, there would be no Bitcoin.

All BS pulled out of someone's *******, don't know who and don't care. Bitcoin is nothing more than non-tracable money you can use on the internet to buy drugs.

That's how it started, therefore that's what it is.

no. If they wanted mass adoption staying lowkey was always the plan. If the US came out and said they created it no one would have adopted it, and to your point with silk road being a big mover that probably wouldn't have happened either. Something like monero would have happened earlier which would have then overtaken bitcoin.

Yeah it's pretty clear that trackable currencies has been the plan since the start. The encryption tech has apparently been around since the 60s and is basically identical. I don't think the rest of the world is taking the path that the string pullers have decided, the US dollar will collapse as do all other fiat currencies, and it seems the US government is hellbent on keeping us in the dark ages while the rest of the world flourishes. It was a good run.
