Commercials Coming To Netflix + Amazon Prime

I saw a pop-up for a new ad version service on Netflix myself. Said I could pay $6.99 instead of $13.99 IIRC if I would agree to start watching commercials on their videos.

Then this morning I saw this:

Remember when cable was new and one of the perks was no commercials? And then over time all the cable channels added commercials?

Streaming services were a better valuer than cable. But they keep raising the rate. And clamped down on sharing accounts [gotta pay for each cable box in the house]. Now commercial too, or a fee to not have commercials?
