What's a good close grip bench press?
Never really did these often, but I just started incorporating them more into my workouts.
What's an impressive number? I'm talking actual close grip with your hands close together, not moving your hands a couple inches closer than your regular bench and calling it "close grip".
I did 225x 9 yesterday

Depends on your size, honestly.
A small guy won't be as strong but also won't suffer as much from a leverage standpoint by bringing the hands in. my CCBP has my hands like 8-10" apart and I could probably do like 225x15 but that's with a 370 max bench. If I bring the hands in any closer it's hell on the wrists when I'm on the chest.

250-270s for reps
Close close grip like 200s. For 10s 12s. Wouldnt go heavy with wrist bent like that

Honestly, if you are looking for bench variation I would switch to reverse grip. It is naturally a little closer together and does a good job targeting your upper inner chest.
