I hope the U.S. Fed. Reserve continues to raise interest rates!

I'm not seeing the economy hurt at all with beautiful women. I still go check out the lake on a week-day, women still lay out along the lake solo, reading books, in bikinis and in thongs. Clearly the economy is not hurting everyone.

They don't need to raise any more for something to break. Car repossessions are up higher than 5 years ago, housing foreclosures have returned to their pre-Covid levels. Those are both going to accelerate into 2024 to levels not seen since in at least a dozen years. Commercial real estate is a slow motion car crash that will play out over several years. Economic downturn is baked in already, it's a matter of when it hits its high note.

Even if we hit a hard recession there will be sloots bathing by that lake, OP. If you're hoping for total misery in sloots you won't see it.

If it keeps causing the price of oil to go up and stay up, then yes. Normally prices are falling now and into the end of winter. Pay no attention to the "OMG you're complaining about paying an extra $10 a week at the pump?" rhetoric. For some reason people who say that don't remember that everything at stores arrives by truck, and before that lots of stuff, including food travels across seas. All of that requires lots of oil.

My point is it being the weekdays means they're not at work. So they're either unemployed, or work weekends / dinnertime jobs. So if they're unemployed, they're not struggling.
