That's because that steak was cut thin as fukk. Some HEBs have a butcher that will cut the steak how you want it. I never buy steak thinner than 1.5 inches. I usually request 2 inches thick. I hardly ever buy the steak that's out already in a package, unless it's something like fajita meat or something. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

The heb closest to me doesn’t have a meat counter unfortunately. There’s one that does pretty close though.

I’m thinking about going to an actual butcher shop next time.
