I've had an idea for a website and the only thing that has held me back from doing it is copyright law. I don't have enough money to pay $600 for every photo I use

Even if you're not an expert per se, does anybody have experience creating a website or content that is familiar with copyright?

Let's say I have an idea for a sports website with stats. Let's say I want to use pics shot by photographers.. for every photo I wouldn't be using it directly for money, but I would hope to use the site still to make money in other ways

I know creative commons license has the ability to be used for "informative purposes" so say I took a photo from the NFL and I posted about a player and just used his stats that he's performed could that count as "for informative purposes"?

Again, direct post or page wouldnt be for $ purposes.
But indirectly there may be other ways to make $$.

In a way, that post only helps the NFL
