Why everytime I see someone complaining about low cost airlines...

...(like spirit or ryanair, for example)it always comes from a broke fuk who wouldn't have money to fly otherwise?

Same for everybody that talks about "how great air travel used to be" and "how fuked it is now". You wouldn't even have money to fly during the "golden age". You know it would be the equivalent (or even more expensive) to first class right now, right?

The airlines basically created a "poor fuk" section (aka economy class) so they could take your money aswell. Then they realized some people were actually misarable so they created a "poorer than poor fuk" section, called low cost airlines, in which you travel like you are nothing but cargo and no one gives a single fuk about you cuz in the end of the day, you are just a peasant.

Never saw anyone rich talking about how bad it got.

True facts. People basically insisted on the cheapest possible flights so airlines provided them with what they asked for. then they complain about getting what they wanted.

I have often wondered about the whole middle seat thing. What if you were to get on the plane and intentionally take the middle seat in an empty row. Would it prevent people from taking the aisle and window seats? Worst case someone takes the alise and you move over to the window.

Spirit is great if you buy the first class seats and only have a carryon. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Didn't even know Spirit had "first class" (which I bet is not even first class, looks like an economy with a taste of comfort).

You are right.. I've flown upstairs in a plane on other peoples money and in row 32 across from the sh*tter on my own, there is a range of service you pay for and you should align your expectations.

It's not, but for maybe an extra $80 (I can't remember how much extra exactly). You sit in the front, have way more leg room, the seats are wider and are leather. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Exactly. Is like going to a ****ty 1 star third world country hotel (with cockroaches and everything) and then complain about how bad hotels got over the past decades.

I have nothing agaist low cost airlines. They serve their purpose. But I mean, if you are paying for a low cost flight, you are going to be treated as a "Low cost flight passenger" and get "low cost comfort".

As a pilot, from the cockpit door forward an a320 is an a320. Doesn't matter if the livery says Spirit or Qatar, it flies the same. From the cockpit door aft, people get the service they paid for.

flew spirit once

never fkn again

connecting flight got miss-scheduled and they had to let a couple of us in economy class off first so we can catch the plane before it flies in 10 mins

there was some angry feggit in first class making a scene checking everyone's ticket to make sure that they were actually part of the connecting flight

mfer got right in my face and i pushed him hard as fuk and his dyel ass flew. The flight crew was just chilling talking amongst themselves. I know for sure they saw it but acted like they didn't. Pretty lulzy thinking back to it. Never flying bum class again tho.

Got lucky. If you push a crew member it is reason enough to put you on a "No Fly List" forever.

It seems like the crew was just tired of the situation and wanted to do the job as fast as possible.

And situations like that happens everywhere in every business.

I agree or people who chose long af layovers to save a couple dollars... FOH or people who go on vacation and try and be the most frugal about it. I'm not saying ball out of control but don't go on vacation and vacation worse than you actually live day to day.

I've only flown once on Spirit and it was garbage af. I didn't choose it, someone else booked my flights(i hate doing that ****). the flight was short tho(FL to NY) but Spirit seats are worse than bus seats. Next time i'm having a flight booked. i'm going to say absolutely no spirit or those other **** tier airlines, don't care if i could save a couple 100 dollars. Like i like Jet Blue isn't elite but their seats are comfortable. the always an outlet on the seat . never had a problem with them.

Business Class (or "real" Business Class) is better than that.

When it comes to the "glamour" thing, it was present in all sectors of society, not just aviation (just see how people used to dress back then...). We have little to no class on our everyday basis, so why would it be different when flying?

If you want to get the "same" glamour, pay the same amount of price they used to pay and fly "real" first class (or even business class).

United Business Class

American Airlines Business Class

Delta Airlines Business Class

If you are as rich as they were on the video you posted, now you can get more comform and more safety than ever.

I mean flying first class domestic doesn't mean much any more since for most airlines you can't even access the lounge any more without a credit card with benefits. No predeparture beverage, sh!Itty old worn dirty seats, terrible food and service it's just not worth it unless you're flying Polaris or Delta one.

I fly a lot(68+ times a year, mostly TATL to europe) and I don't mind frontier and haven't had any issues with them yet. Hell I even book 3rd party with them for the $100 round trips from california to Florida and sneak on a giant 34L goruck as my free personal item up until this year when they became super strict. I just got round trip sfo to Austin TX during Christmas for $82. Can't beat that since airport parking is even more expensive than that lol.

Food was always terrible. Food that is great on the surface gets awfull up there. It has to do with pressure (I believe)... it literally changes the taste of it. The food is great on the surface (ive tried it).

About the prices. I work in the industry and even I can't undestand how they can make it as cheap as they do. You have flights in Europe (lets say Lisbon to Paris, for example) for less than 10 dollars (getting a little bit more expensive now). With 10 dollars times 100 passengers you can't even pay the crew let alone fuel, etc.

Yeah I love the prices which is why I fly around Europe instead of taking the train. I'm going to milk this for as long as I can before prices rise. I've flown on over 40 different airlines now.

Flew Frontier once. it was ok. it was a short flight and there were no good options with other airlines that fit my schedule.

Have flown Ryanair a handful of times. For the price I can't complain.

90% of the time I will choose a non budget airline though.

These days you can't expect much from flying commercial. It's equivalent to taking the Greyhound, i.e. a cesspool.
