Scarface Film Tony and Manny Age Difference

I never really thought about it when I watched the film so many times, but at the time of the movie Pacino was 43 and Bauer was 26, that’s a 17 age year difference. I doubt the characters are supposed to be much different age compared to the actors playing them.

Which is kinda interesting considering their close friendship, it’s pretty rare to see a close male friendship where one of the friends is that much older than the other.

It never really felt like it was a big brother/little brother type of thing either, although Tony was obviously the leader of the crew. I always assumed Manny was in his early 30s though.

yeah in the movie i assumed maybe a 5-7 year age gap now that i think about it...like they had known each other a long time
