Should Edward Snowden be considered
Someone who the framers would have viewed as a patriot or is he a traitor?
What say you?
What say you?

If I was a picture framer I'd probably be indifferent to Edward Snowden, unless he wanted some pictures or certificates framed.

I would say he is a traitor but with patriotic intentions. Sad thing is, most Americans didn’t seem to care being spied on. Nowadays, you pretty much expected being spied on by more than the government just for your “data”.

Obviously he’s a traitor look at the evidence, Snowden lied and framed his assertions as a lie.
What the evidence clearly shows is that google/microsoft engage in massive spying operations. In order to collect, aggregate and sell every piece of information on your device to the highest bidder.
They’ll sell it to your competitor, they’ll sell it to your grandma and they’ll share it with the dea, unlawfully like they’d done with covid-19. And when you see that this is the fact, shown to you by the evidence…
How can something that these companies do independently be the fault of the nsa?
I mean the real issue at hand as it pertains to this is ip protection and economic fairness. Google and microsoft are espionage capitalism companies and they’re doing this. So that they don’t have to work… you do that for them and then they collect that work and sell it to whoever will make them money.
I mean look at how he got famous? From his YouTube videos… I’d venture to guess being that it all seemed but completely obvious that YouTube practically sponsored that clown. That the reason they endorsed him was in order to blur the lines of reality on their own espionage capitalism. Because no one wants all of their business ideas and secrets to be able to be put up for sale. No one wants that for themselves or their kids… no one wants to compete with 2+ trillion dollars in valuation. At every advantage…
It’s not even a matter for debate, it’s irrefutable from the evidence produced by the ped0 peter takedown sting op. Which followed every standard guide to sting operations and was done completely in line with federal cyber law. All of these things they’d done, we all know… they weren’t the result of the nsa. Because I’ve been signed to the nsa since 2013 on this dd214 mercenary contract.
No they’re happening independently and we’ve seen what these companies have done and who they’ve shared it with.
The fact of the matter is that there was no other way to make them feel as confident as they’d felt with their action. To expose themselves than this and again? Followed standard sting op protocol… you want to catch bees you need some honey
And so now? There’d be no semi-intelligent person who’d be able to believe in a million years that what these companies do for their for their own profit interest. To make money, the easiest way possible and most profitable. Espionage capitalism could be the fault of the nsa. You’d have to be a moron to believe that to be true. And now? You know it, it’s not even for debate
Snowden betrayed his country before I was signed to the nsa and this was the response. To expose him as a liar and takedown ped0 peter who brutally molested his daughter and abused his wife. With Joseph Sandusky’s help? Now we’re here…
But I signed at psu with the guidance of the military. I wasn’t told the particulars of why he’d done it or anything. Just that it was my duty to my country to expose him as a liar.
But if I had to take a guess, I’d guess what’s pretty easy to assume from how he got popular. YouTube a google company sponsored him to throw off from the truth of what’s really going on. The truth you see and know irrefutably ti be true from the sting op.
Because even before I went into the nsa program I spent almost 9 years at at psu
Working at Mack’s comp shop

It has nothing to do with the nsa that’s ex money for them

How is he a traitor? He told his friends he knew he'd probably get life in prison before exposing it but thought it was that important for the public to see. I don't understand how exposing government corruption is being a traitor. Dude got lucky to get out of the country the way he did.

mixed bag
he did expose unconstitutional surveillance of US citizens
hes also annoying and narcissistic, enjoys the attention and lied about his credentials, says he was a cia spy and all that chit when he was just a low level admin.
One thing is that the news only published less than 1 percent of what he stole and the news cooperated with the US gov to not release what they didnt want. who knows what was in that other 99 percent and even he himself never talks about it in interviews.

No idea what his original motives were. But it's pretty clearly he harmed our security interests in the end. He took a hard drive full of top secret material to Russia and somehow obtained asylum. Does anyone believe he didn't make 100% of that data available to the Russian govt?
Anyway, the reaction by the public here is what was fascinating. Nobody on either side of the political spectrum cared enough to even really protest any of it. I think that probably shocked even the government here. People were really okay with pretty much all of what leaked.

He's a patriot for the American people and a traitor to the American government. Up to you to decide which of those two deserve your loyalty.

The idea of America you hear about in country songs is an illusion.

Imagine you are on a bus or in a cab or something and you find a briefcase stuffed with documents marked top secret eye only.
Most people would take the case home and examine the documents. You realize some of them could be very important to national security because they seem to contain lots of sensitive information.
You most likely would want to turn them over to some authorities to make sure they get returned to the proper authorities.
Now ask yourself, who would be probably the very last people you would want seeing these document. Pretty sure most people would have russia on that list somewhere.
Not snowden though, he went straight to their open embrace with all he had. Not only that, these werent files he just fond, these were files he had to actively download from his work computers. So he knew what he was doing when he downloaded tham and was conniving for personal advantage all along. He is a selfish no it all and nothing more. All these people claim some moral high ground.
The word for a person like that is not hero, its traitor and or spy.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

Maybe if the govt didn’t blackball his numerous attempts and whistleblowing through proper channels it wouldn’t have gone to the media.
Remember Supreme Court upheld the ruling the govt was breaking the law. He was whistleblowing on our govt breaking the law. They now hire contractors to break the law for them and feed them only pieces of information the govt can legally have.
Maybe if rules for thee but not for me would fukking stop and the govt could try having some ethics and rule of law for itself instead of acting like a totalitarian force that knows best for the people, we could frame this in a more appropriate light.
Our forefathers would advocate for imprisoning most of our current govt for breaking the law on a regular basis and eroding our values.
