Do you think the prevalence of psych meds in the US is
Causing more women to be obese/lose their glow?
It's widely known that the US over medicates, as well as the statistics that show anti-psychotics are associated with "significant weight gain"
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3031940/
Do you really think depression/bipolar/BPD is as common as it is?

No it's lack of physical activity and poor diet. People who turn to psychiatric meds are already seeking blame blame some other separate entity for their problems, and that continues to extend by blaming whatever drug it is. Then statistics are skewed by correlating the drug use and weight gain without providing a concrete mechanism on how it's happening. "oh it slows your metabolism" no stacy your thyroid numbers are low because you have an eating disorder caused by a lack of knowledge about adequate nutrition and health.

No, they don't slow down your metabolism, but they do slow you down, in general
Just seems like they compound the issues even further than actually help anything

There may be some segment of people for whom a pill is needed or helps to stabilize a situation. I don't believe that "one size fits all", but IMO in most cases better health habits and fixing whatever is going on in a person's life that is making them so anxious or unhappy is what is really needed. There isn't really any funding or much help for that though, so if you can't figure it out yourself you may get stuck in a bad spot.
As far as the weight thing goes it's a multiple factor thing- endocrine disruptors, birth control pills, lack of sun exposure, sedentary lifestyle, highly palatable low effort low nutrition foodstuffs, etc.
The most recent thing I ran across was about iodine and how deficient most people are in the US. Our daily intake is on average much less than Japan [seen many obese Japanese?] plus our tap water is treated with chemicals which bind to the same site where iodine binds [chlorine and flouride] and there is a relationship between insufficient iodine and both sexual organ dysfunction + tendency to being overweight.

80% of career women are on *****/zoloft or something similar to deal with the stress of pretending to be a man. This of course makes them worker drone zombies. However as this turns them into zombies, they also prescribe a stimulant like @dderall to give them a little pep.
These MFers are high all day and then go home to guzzle boxed wine like it's a 2nd full time job.

“No day passes that the mail does not flood the doctor’s office with suggestions about what to use in his clinical practice. My desk overflows with gadgets and multi-coloured pills telling me that without them mankind cannot be happy. The propaganda campaign reaching our medical eyes and ears is often so laden with suggestions that we can be persuaded to distribute sedatives and stimulants where straight critical thinking would deter us and we would seek the deeper causes of the difficulties. This is true not only for modern pharmacotherapy; the same tendencies can also be shown in psychotherapeutic methods.
This chapter aims to approach the problem of mental coercion with the question: How compulsive can the use of medical drugs and medical and psychological methods become? In the former chapters on menticide I was able to describe political attempts to bring the human mind into submission and servility. Drugs and their psychological equivalents are also able to enslave”
“The Nazis followed a similar strategy. During the occupation of Western Europe, they created an artificial shortage of normal medicaments by halting their usual export of healing drugs to the “inferior” countries. However, they made an exception in the case of barbiturates. In Holland, for example, these drugs were made readily available in many drugstores without doctors’ prescriptions, a situation which was against customary Dutch law. Although the right therapeutic drugs were not made available for medical work, the drugs which created passivity, dependence, and lethargy were widely distributed.
The totalitarian dictator knows that drugs can be his helpers. It was Hitler’s intention, in his so-called biological warfare, to weaken and subdue the countries that surrounded the Third Reich, and to break their backbones for good. Hunger and addiction were among his most valuable tools.
What has all this to do with the growing addiction and alcoholism in our own country? I have already mentioned the alarming increases in death from barbiturates. But I would like to emphasize even more the psychological and political consequences. Democracy and freedom end where slavery and submission to drugs and alcohol begin. Democracy involves free, self-chosen activity and understanding; it means mature self-control and independence. Any man who escapes from reality through the use of alcohol and drugs is no longer. “longer able to exert any voluntary control over his mind and his actions. He is no longer a self-responsible individual. Alcoholism and drug addiction prepare the pattern of mental submission so beloved by the totalitarian brainwasher.”

Because big pharma pushes doctors to sell pills. They don't care about the end result. They just want you to keep buying pills.
If you get obese they can sell you even more pills to counteract all the various health difficulties brought on by the added weight. Pill companies and fast food companies are mutually beneficial, breeding fat lazy people.

People have become soft. Participation awards for everyone. Short-cuts, magical pill, social media, the sun hurts, the cold hurts, hard work hurts, outdoor hurts, my feelings hurt.
Life. Is. Pain.
We are born broken; we will die broken.
It's how we use love, courage, and strength God gave us, within us to deal with it, to move forward, and hopefully strive in this broken world of ours.
You don't take a pill to make the pain go away. You take a pill to simply avoid it.

The real issue is trust.
They foolishly trust the doctors to give them some magic pill to help them with this or that.
Its very easy to manipulate someone who basically wants to be manipulated and doctors take full advantage of that.
Imagine going to a mechanic and getting all the repairs done they recommend. They would keep coming up with an endless list and it would never get fully fixed.
What they really need to do is just eat a normal diet like grandma made. That alone will solve 90% of their mental and health issues. Then address the left over issues after that.

When I was a young adult I took Prozac for a few years and it made me impulsive and euphoric but no weight gain thankfully.

Constantly nauseated, super freaking tired, nonstop hunger and dizzy AF

FluorideFluorideis a key ingredient of many psychiatric drugs like fluoxetine (Prozac®, Fluoxetine®). Pregnant women frequently use this drug as they suffer from depression and anxiety disorders during this period. Fluoxetine is able to reach the fetus through the placenta and passes to the newborn through milk.

There's this 8/10 that goes to my gym. I took a hiatus from going there but I went last week and this girl literally gained like 30 lbs in a couple months.
She works out A LOT, but it looks like she went on a dreamer bulk, pretty sad.
