Maturity and intelligence tells you that it causes more problems than it solves. Of course, different situations call for different actions. If someone is physically putting their hands on you or they are trying to, then fuk them up. For a long time they have tried to brainwash people to "turn the other cheek" and basically allow someone to hurt them because they argue that all you do by fighting back is bring more violence and it's worse for everyone including yourself. Watched a dude stand there and take about 10 shots off some drunk guy and did nothing in return. If it weren't for others there that guy would have probably messed him up. As well, if you are going to go, go all out. i've seen it where one guy pushes into the other and then the guy just pushes back.
