What's Your Current Weekly/Monthly Grocery Haul Look Like?
So it's busy season for me at work and we just had a meeting friday discussing that we aren't going to hire any seasonal help. We basically figured they would rather pay us more overtime than hire newbies. We're obviously slower this year too along with literally everybody else, but will probably be making decent money the next 3-4 months with around a 4-5k bonus.
Time to savemaxx hard and my biggest expense is food outside of rent. I plan on buying a house/land in the spring and want like 80k+ to work with at least.
That being said, I decided to do an actual outlined budget plan for food. Trying for $100 a week tops. That will be tough, but I think I can do it.
My list will probably be:
-Meat: Mix of chuck steak, delmonico and assorted chicken thighs/wings/grass fed ground beef.
-Veggies: Pickles, sauerkraut, assorted veggies for small stews
-Dairy and eggs from local farm
-Snacks: Not sure yet.
Need some ideas too so post your breakdowns below for reps.
Haven't done an actual list or set grocery plan since 2020 because I got lazy and didn't have to worry about money.

Dried fruits are excellent for snacks, srs.
Just watch out on those apricots or your ass is going DEFCON 5 if you eat too many in one sitting.

Usually buy a bunch of different fruits, fresh spinach, asparagus, onions and garlic.
Will buy tubs of cottage cheese, eggs and egg whites, chicken breast, cod, salmon and different cuts of lean beef. I usually buy sh!t tons of different meat and fish sources and store them in my deep freezer. I mostly only eat whole foods. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

I've been eating those chicken flavored rice boxes from Aldi mixed with eggs and various other ingredients.
Lately it's been the rice, eggs, andouillie sausage, green onions.
Other times I'll mix in shrimp, chicken etc.

Making a pot roast this week but grabbed some chicken and ground beef too. Canned tuna and deli meat for sandwiches and wraps. Veggies this week carrots and cauliflower. Milk, eggs, cottage cheese, oats, bananas and some almonds to snack on.
