Hes my second choice after trump.my gut tells me he is being put in their though to be another ross perot.if jot for rose perot Clinton would had never won.

He has to know he can't win as an independent.

This is being done to take votes away from trump

First, why would a Trump voter be okay with a Kenmedy administration? They share almost zero policy positions. 2nd, why would anyone vote their 2nd choice when their first is on the ballot?

Kennedy is giving Trump the election to spite the DNC. There is no other sensible take to have than this. Dems saying this hurts Trunp is cope af.

Not so sure of that. There was a not so insignificant number of never trump voters that went Biden in 2020 and could easily go to rfk in 2024. Yes Biden has been a disaster but never underestimate how many people vote based on feels.

RFK is a progressive leftist on every issue other than the vaccine.

Dems should be worried, especially with the college-aged crowd.

RFK is alot cooler than Biden (and alot more jacked).

Imagine for a second that your ancestors and forefathers fought for your country's freedom and your right to vote. As an independent who doesn't like Trump and thinks Biden is useless, I'll vote for almost any independent over the two of them and hope the democrats learn they can't sell recycled underwear. I want Chris Christie vs Amy Klobuchar in 2024. Or even DeSantis vs someone who can think.

Question is, if independents don't show up or go 3rd party, who benefits. I think Trump will. That's only bad if it pushes the democratic party further left.

I doubt that's valid. At this point, nobody really knows who Kennedy is, and once they do, I don't think he'll amount to anything. I think West will pull enough African-American and annoyed independents from Biden to help Trump. That's if either of those groups actually shows up. Trump can win because even if is core supporters isn't a huge group, they're the only ones who are going to show up. The never trumpers who pushed biden ahead aren't going to be motivated this time.

I dunno. So far the only people I've seen who are fans of the guy are Blumpf supporters.

I guess if he stars campaigning on eliminating student loans he can take some of the younger vote, but I wouldn't count on that.

It will probably help Trump.

In 2016, third parties got 6% of the vote with Johnson getting a little over 3% by himself. In 2020, third parties got 2% of the vote. Most of that 4% went to Joe Biden.

Gary Johnson helped Trump win in 2016. So if Trump can keep the Democrat vote count low, he could squeak by in a few states against just like in 2016.
