Looks like it might be one of the best Rally games for a long while, if EA doesn't put their bull**** into it.
The tracks and track selections look great (despite no Australian courses)

This and Forza only a few weeks apart is bloody awesome.

I've never had to wear gloves on a sim, but when I ride my dirt bikes or play golf I get ****ed up without gloves.

Honestly, having a shifter over paddles is a novelty. A cool one, but one of the last things I'd spend on.

I've been looking at the sequential mods for my shifter, but I'm not very confident on how many games it will work on.

I have the TH8A, has sequential mode which works great. Modern rally cars don't use a clutch pedal for anything more than setting off from a standstill though (unless it's an old car), you're just making it harder for yourself tbhIf you have a sequential shifter you can map it to work as a handbrake too though, not the most realistic but you still get the feel of pulling a lever. It's pretty hard to locate a button on the wheel rim to hit the handbrake especially while turning, pretty much impossible tbh

It's like a muscle memory thing, I tried just using the shifter without clutch but I just found myself clutching anyways lol

If the game comes out and I'm actually into it I'll Def order a shifter that can do sequential. I got an ebay magnetic mod thing for my Logitech one so it actually isn't too bad for what it is.

I have the popular ebay handbrake, doesn't mount to my stand so I have it clamped on using wood clamps, works like a charm baby

Before I had the handbrake I remapped both paddles to be ebrake so I could at least try to be able to brake and use the wheel at the same time, was wonky as fuk but kinda worked ok, just don't drive any cars that need paddles to shift lol. Using both paddles was slightly reasonable, but one paddle was impossible, too hard to tell which paddle is which when turning the wheel

I don't use any but yea if I was a streamer racing for 5+ hours per day I would get some simply for hygiene purposes

Besides, the point of a sim is immersion, and gloves can boost that up a bit even though it may sound silly.

Wouldnt bother with gloves unless your wheel is alcantara or you're running a DD wheel which will give you calluses

I hope they have a camera setting so the drivers view can kinda sway with the cars turning, that camera looks a bit stiff

Even though I have my sim set up so the wheel is lined up right with the TV, I still prefer the view with the steering wheel on screen idk. I don't like just the dash view.

I feel like that only works for those dudes who have the proper f1 wheels and triple screens and stuff, that's total immersion

Yeah I'm sure they do, that's just the dashboard/instruments view some racing wheel users prefer to use, it's usually pretty stiff looking.
