I think "being mature" and "can't take a joke," are contradictory. Mature people can take a joke, even if it's largely negatively interpreted, and move on from it.

I've self reflected and noticed in the last few years I've not been as naively optimistic and in touch with my positive sided emotions. Memories of the good times in my early 20's, putting myself back in those moments, is euphoric compared to my high times as of late. I partially blame it on COVID and societal regression (Woke issues dominating people's brains). But it's also in part because of getting a bit older, and needing "higher highs" to match those peaks we had in our younger years.

Yeah well I wasn't even an adult yet. My highest highs of my life were still in my early 20's (2014-2019), for the most part.
