Good luck. IDK how it is at your corpo, but if you take off for paternity you gotta actually present HR with proof. A coworker of mine just did it and explained the process. Without the proof he would've been on unpaid leave or used up his sick/vacation days.

I intended on using a week of vacation in September, and also a week of vacation in October. Neither happened, because of same reason OP. People getting married or having babies, and some having had other pre-planned time off.

Gonna go balls to the wall on vacation in mid-November and possibly a bit on December though. No more letting others dictate how I use my time off, at least in 2023.

what are you even worried about. one of my coworkers wife of 23 years cheated on him, he caught her with 100 percent proof on their icloud account and she refused to admit it, then they divorced and she gets more than half and he has to pay her alimony for 20 years. Hes now obese and nearly 50 years old and hasnt dated in 25 years, its fuking over for him and he doesnt even know how bad yet, the other boomers at work are telling him some random bluepilled chit about "you need to get out there and get on the apps and start dating again" bruh they have no idea he will get zero matches, I worry for him way more than I worry for myself.

also forgot to add he met her while she was a single mom, took care of her retard baby for 20 years, her kid was disabled and he paid for it and raised it. She got to be a stay at home mom for 20 years and all that did was make him pay alimony due to her having no income. this chit happens all the time, I can go on and on with similar stories, all real stuff I seen first hand.

I don’t really care about getting married as long as I have some girls on the side. A LTR would be just fine without legal paperwork of marriage
