Is there anything your mother or father would have you do as a child that you didn't

Understand at the time but as an adult you look back and get it.

Our father would have us do push ups and sit ups and the duck walk at night before bed. Would have us ask to be excused from table at dinner, keep elbows off the table etc etc.

Never got that or even understood it at that age and after he was gone all that ended. Now in retrospect I totally get it.

i know a miscer who father showered him as a kid and still does as an adult. And it seems he understands it and thinks it normal.
