If you could escape into a virtual reality, would you do it?

The concept of being able to suspend oneself in cryostasis while living in a dream world has been written about in many books and movies.

Let's pretend this is a real option though and you have the money to do it. Would you leave this world for one you built yourself to live in? I use to think if I had this option I'd rather suck it up living a real life, but the older I get the more I think I would choose for the fictional world where I could create a life for myself. Obviously you would be creating it before you entered cryostasis, so everything would feel very real.
