Does anyone still use an alarm clock?

kinda miss these things tbh. They had a giant snooze button on the top that you could hit if you wanted to be late. Also had a radio too.

Now everyone just uses their phones. sad

I have an alarm on my phone that goes off at 5am but I'm always up just before it. Usually up and at'em at 4:45 or so. Have sex and start my day (dead srs). There's no better feeling than to bust in a wet vag while sucking them teddies and then have a nice hot cup of strong black coffee while sitting back and basking in your post-nut euphoria while it's still dark out.

Got one just as a clock in the room that you can glance at to see the time and not needing to pick up a phone

Yeah man I much prefer using sole purpose devices. I understand the merit of all in one stuff like a phone but I have a phone for contacting people/being contacted, an mp3 to play music, a camera to take photos, an alarm clock to wake me up etc

Yeah I have 2 wall clocks set as backup alarms, seriously. I almost never actually need them, but I get paranoid af about over-sleeping.

I still have an RCA alarm clock I got for like my 14th birthday or so. I have tried using my phone for my alarm clock when I'm on a business trip or sleeping elsewhere, and I hate it. Its either too loud, too quiet, or something else that doesn't work for me.

The standalone alarm clock is easy to set and easy as fug to dial in the way you prefer.

I used the one I got for my 13th birthday until the display died a couple of years ago (I'm 55). My daughter got me an identical one off Ebay for Christmas a couple of months later and I'm back in business.

Yes, I use the old school meep meep meep meep alarm clock across the room. I'd swipe my phone alarm the wrong way and oversleep too much. I have to make myself get up and walk across the room. I am not fond of getting up early and I miss more workouts than I should because of it. But I still go at least 2x a week.

Also, I have that alarm clock set fast, but I don't know exactly how fast. Somewhere between 10-20m, I set it with my eyes closed lol srs. Also, I hit snooze 99% of the time at least once, sometimes 2-3x.

This is the updated version of the one I have. I've had it for 15 years probably or more.

This.

I just realised my alarm clock is 30 years old and still going, I use it most days and will keep using it until it breaks.

The same old school clock radio I have had for like 30 years.

Yeah I sleep so hard I need one. Normal ones don't work either, it has to be a hearing impaired kind that vibrates the bed.

Just lol if you’re not awoken by the sound of your enemies wailing in despair, ded srs.

Also there a legit scientific reason for why your body wakes up just before your alarm - I posted a thread years ago that got long, I’ll see if I can find it. But cliffs is:

*your bodies internal clock is WAY more precise than we thought.

*your body will wake up just before the alarm to avoid the jolt of being awoken. If you go to sleep/wake at the same time, it gets VERY good at this and is a sign of good sleep routine

*if you normally wake up before your alarm but sleep till your alarm, your body chose even a few more moments of sleep even though it means a harsher awakening. You may be getting sick etc - if possible, go back to bed.
Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors. Keep your head up.

Boyo...I still use my old CD player (dead fkn srs).

That's when I'm not on my main floor where I have my sound system hooked up to my record player. It's also set up for bluetooth so I can play stuff off the phone but I have such an extensive vinyl collection that there's almost no need. I think my most recent addition was a remastered Meshuggah record.

I live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors. However, let's just say that on a nice warm summer day with the windows open, my nearest neighbour down the mountain can hear the BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA BABADA
