Sting retirement match at AEW Revolution 2024

Who should his opponent be?

Edge for me .

He gave an impassioned promo apparently mentioned Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan (booed), and Dusty Rhodes in it .

Stung has sucked every since he changed his apperance from blonde hair surfer sting.

Sorry dropping from the ceiling with a bat was lame. First coupple of time to surprise NWO I got it. But how many times can you sneak like thay

Surfer Sting > Crow Sting

I just don't; buy into Crow Sting. The illusion is shattered once he opens his mouth. That guy isn't a scary menacing spook from Halloween town. He's the feel-good party animal who is friends with Robocop.

I never understood The Crow stink. Surfer sting was great.

He does deserve a retirement match but it should have been a long time ago.

It’s more likely to be Flair than The Hulkster, brother.

Flair could have another retirement match before his inevitable comeback.

Stink should probably have a match with someone under 40 and put them over in a way that also makes him look good also.

You guys are mixing up old man Sting you see today on AEW where he's balder and the paint doesn't cover the ends of his face. And even though he dresses like the crow with the black and white, he does talk surfer style which doesn't match the crow persona.



But what you see in AEW, is nothing like the original Crow Sting from WCW and he rarely spoke.

It should be a younger talent. I’m guessing it will be Darby Allin.

But I’d like for it to be someone more unexpected like Swerve Strickland or Ricky Starks.

The build to Starrcade 97 was the only time crow Sting was interesting. Then that disaster finish happened, and then he had to eventually open his mouth. Mystique and the smoke and mirrors was gone. Agree with the sentiment posted above that the look never matched the mic work, and it could have been so much more. Oh well. Great career nonetheless.

Sting is one of the GOATs, I remember Sting from the early 90's, he was the WCW equivalent to Warrior/Hogan. Any one dissing him, will be dealt with by me.

Actually, pretty sure the rafters thing ended all around back in 1999 when Owen Hart fell and passed away doing it. So it's literally a grievance about a relic from the 90's.

What was legitimately lame was Joker Sting. That was laughable from day 1 lol. But Crow Sting is a timeless classic.
