It's so predictably stupid Roman will keep winning until WM

It doesn't benefit Roman and only hurts LA Knight. If LA Knight loses, he's going to the back of the line just like Sammy did. Even if LA Knight wins by DQ or count out, anything other than winning the title is considered a loss.

It's just become so predictably stupid we have to wait 6 more months for Roman to lose to Cody.

its even more predictably stupid that Cody will win the Royale Rumble and beat Roman at WM so he can "finish the story"... ughhh its so cringe.

Trips needs to mix it up and have Roman lose the title LA Knight. Or if LA Knight loses, have Priest cash in MITB on Roman and win the title.

The problem is WWE backed themselves into a corner because if anyone other than Cody beats Roman for the title before WM, it won't have the same emphasis behind it. I would be Okay with Priest cashing in his MITB on Cody and WINNING at WM right after he beats Roman.

Even worse, when Roman does lose, you know he's gonna blame the Bloodline and we're back to the storyline that just won't end.

Can't Trips think of anything better?

Filler until Roman feuds with Cody again so Cody can win at WM.

But i'm guessing they will still make LA Knight look strong despite the loss, he will either "take Roman to the limit" with multiple close pinfalls or they'll have the bloodline interfere and he'll lose that way.

Having him lose to Roman clean will make no sense.

Have him win via a countout or similar so that he's protected, then move to go triple threat at WM with Knight/Rhodes/Reigns. Rhodes pins Reigns which protects Knight and then they feud trading the belt a few times until one grabs the brass ring and takes it.

Maybe trips is thinking: I used to put people over by giving them the pedigree then pinning them clean 🤷‍♂️

Stupid move unless he's gonna surprise the world and take the title

Or, he fights off 16 Samoans, a ref gets taken out in the process, and Roman KOs him with a foreign object so at least he looks strong

Or, he wins the title and is stripped a few days later at SD because of some stupid technicality and the title win is scrubbed throwing more heat at Roman

Or, he legit goes into business for himself and everyone else who hates the idea of a part time islander being forced as the GOAT while working less than Droz did after his D'Lo match


I think it's an attempt to see how he can handle himself in a headline match with so much on the line, and he'll sit within the Universal title or Raw title picture longer term post this match - he's done the silly gimmick match with Bray, he's done the couple of really good matches with Miz, he's taken out a 25 man battle royal and he was ready to win MITB until the last moment while getting himself over organically - hopefully drawing a good match out of Roman is the final test

the formula works for business as they buy themselves time. look how hot the crowd was when Drew had his shot at the castle event overseas. or sammy in montreal. deep down nobody expects them to win but they've done a good job at buying time with opponents

It's dumb to have him face Roman. Makes zero sense.

Seth is getting stale AF. Seth is also a much better worker than Roman. An LAK/Seth match where LAK wins could be huge. But of course they won't give us that.

LA Knight's star is shining bright, but Trips and WWE will never allow it to shine brighter than Cody's. It sucks for LA Knight because this is the same thing they did with Sammy. He was the hottest thing in WWE and the loss to Roman was like throwing a bucket of ice water on the momentum. It was like saying thats enough of the push. They didn't want Sammy getting hotter than Roman or Cody for that matter.

The same thing is gonna happen to LA Knight. WWE is gonna fuk everything up because they weren't expecting the meteoric rise of LA Knight and now they're hands are tied because they already committed to Cody.

The only thing that can change those plans is Cody getting stuck under 135 on the bench again.

Hopefully they won't repeat that tactic - Sami looks like an indie goober. LAK actually looks the part.

It's what they always do. It's what they did with Ryback and with Braun Strowman. Those guys were getting over and looked like possible new top stars WWE decided they only want them to get over to a certain point and then cut the legs out from under them.

Roman is becoming more of a problem since he won't work any matches, yet they continue to build everything around him. It's beyond stale right now.
Sami became too popular so they were forced to have a Sami vs Roman match. Since Roman won't work matches, it had to be a one and done and the organically built potential superstar feels like a mid-carder again.
Same thing will happen to LA Knight. There won't be a follow up. Even worse the follow up will be a mid-card feud with Jimmmy.
