I suppose people respond to the incentives that are put in front of them. If they have, genuinely, been rejected from society, then why should they participate in providing their labour etc to society?

MGTOW is the end result of a mathematical equation of effort to reward ratio.

Is the effort/risk of pursuing woman worth the likely outcome? For many men, the answer in todays society is no. They look at themselves and what they could reasonably get, consider the potential risk if they were even able to attain a desirable outcome and come to a conclusion on whether they want to try or not. The reality is that a life without women is significantly less stressful but does tend to be lonelier.

Some terminal bachelors reach their 40s-50s and kill themselves. Others find ways to enjoy their life and the mountain of disposable income they have left over from not dealing with women. Personally, I'm somewhere in the middle. I'd put effort into pursuit a high value partner but I'd rather be single forever than be with an average woman. I know many guys who live in silent misery in relationships where they gain basically nothing.

MGTOW hasn’t been popular in years. It was huge in the late 2010’s before everyone saw it for what it is. Losers that can’t get a girlfriend complaint. Eventually MGTOW just morphed into the same category as incel. The original concept of it was meant to be about men empowering men but that buckled quickly and everyone knows it was always nothing but copers trying to cope.

Most of the old men I know were mgtow before it was even a thing. My dad and 3 of his brothers all had families and all got divorced and never remarried or lived with a woman ever again. They still got pussy though.

MGTOW was started by older men that had been married and had kids and lost everything. They would go on forums and talk about their stories, found they had a lot in common, and formed a community around it.

As for your other points:

1. You're not getting "regular sex" when you're in a relationship. Sure, you'll get it a lot when you're in the puppy-dog phase of the relationship and you can't keep your hands off of each other, but in 3-5 years that drops off significantly. You'll be lucky to get it once per week and once she pops out babies it will be even less frequent.

2. If you have enough disposable income for a lambo you have enough money for an escort to get sex whenever you want which cannot be said for the dude thats been out of the honeymoon phase of the relationship, and whose wife has gained 40lbs since she no longer has to try to be attractive now that she's gotten married.

In a perfect world MGTOW shouldn't exist which is why i'm not a fan of it, but I 100% understand what a guy will go that route.
