Bru is right.
Statistically speaking most do not make close to that. The average in America is much less, like half of that.
However I make 350 congorgillion dollars a year obviously. And that is after taxes. Just turned 38.

As a result of readjusting my income and finances, I am getting taxed tens of thousands of dollars less every year. I'm no longer near $100,000 of income a year, but what I save in taxes, returns on investments, it's got me well over.

When I was 35, I was making well under 100k, now I'm making over. A lot can change if you've been proactively building your career and the right opportunity meets preparation = luck.

Big difference between 100k as an employee and 100k being self employed. At 100k, if you are single, you are getting taxed at 24%, wheras someone whos self employed gets to expense LOTS of things such a vehicles, mileage, a portion of their internet, phone, home office, computers, etc if it is used for work and you are able to prove it...before the IRS even gets to evaluate your money. This means you are buying things you would have bought regardless, and using the income before taxes are taken from you.
All that to say, 100k is not a flex, and in fact you should strive to show as little income legally as possible. The tax rate as an employee on 100k leaves you with about 76,000... then the local and school taxes come out...then you have to invest some into your company 401k...then you have to pay your health insurance, oh and you aren't getting any breaks when you go buy that new car to get back and forth to work in.... you know the one i write off...
Food for thought BOYS. 100k aint chit when you're working for mr. shecklestein.

I was making $27k a year at 25. I set a goal for myself to hit at least $100k a year by 35.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
