MTV vs VH1. Back when they both plated nothing but music did you

Prefer one over the other?

I actually liked VH1 MUSIC selection better my self..

Vh1 was slightly better but both in the 2000’s had epic shows

Hmm I said back when they were just music channels. Maybe you guys aren't old enough to remember. But there was aa time the channels did nothing but Play music. It did not have shows. Just music videos

We didn't get home cable until like 97 or 98 I think. From then until like 2000-2001 (I think?), I definitely preferred VH1. I think it was early, or maybe mid, 2000s that it started making the shift to the trash that it is now.

I remember my sister and I would always watch MTV though, when we went to the grandparents' or a friend's house that had cable, before that.

This. MTV was great when it first started. I remember me and my friends gathering around the tv for the first video on MTV. Wasn't Headbangers ball on VH1? I liked both until they started turning to crap music and shows.
