Why is testosterone a controlled substance?

Public Health? Explain why hot dogs aren't a controlled substance then.

I believe it's because there was a scandal in the late 1980s involving the athlete Ben Johnson testing positive for steroids, and the subject matter of steroids became a moral panic due to that scandal.

Testosterone has some reefer madness type propaganda. I take trt from an online clinic and had to get written off on a physical to take it so just went to a walk in clinic for the physical. Was talking to this old feminist hag and told her I was getting the physical for trt. She claimed that trt would give me insane rage and an insaciable sex drive. She said if I took testosterone that I would start raping women and end up in prison. I laughed and told her just to fill out my paperwork.

Money. The pharms saw the demand for steroids, and wanted to control the market. If you control the market supply (monopoly), you can increase prices. There were too many companies, especially foreign, making a killing.

Unfortunately steroids are easy to brew, and demand is extremely high, so a booming black market was born.

FDA bans all medications/prescriptions from overseas directly to the patient now. Free market is the black market in the US now.

It doesn't at all but thats what "the science" headlines say. The science headlines also say if you eat a handful of nuts intstead of a hot dog youll live 25 mins longer.

Actual studies on tylenol, an unnatural drug, show how deadly it can be when over-dosed and even unsafe at accepted doses. It's $2.18 at walmart. Testosterone, something that is naturally already inside our bodies, is somehow a substance in need of control.

I have a question; can I as a biological male pretend to identify as a female, go to a doctor, and ask for testosterone injections to transition to a male (even though I am already a male)? Easy way to get TRT therapy with no questions asked right?

The conspiracy is that if the overall androgen levels in the males in your society were to go up, you can expect more, um, mayhem. So the scaremongers say anyway. They'll tell you there'll be more crime and violence. Your city previously had two mass shootings a week? Expect five now. They'll tell you there'll be more sexual intercourse and more premarital sex and more unwanted pregnancies. They'll tell you there'll be more domestic violence. They'll tell you there'll be more road rage. They'll tell you you'll need more law enforcement officers to deal with the huge spike in crime and that your LEOs now need to be more masculine to counter the highly masculine criminals and law-breakers.
