Is 20 yrs old too young for marriage?

A friend of mine is 20, engaged to a guy who is also 20. They want to get married this summer. Are they gonna make it, misc?

I've a friend that married his HS sweetheart at 18. They've been happily married with kids for 20 years now.

I have a few friends that married young 20-23ish and they are all happily married in their mid/late 30s.


Seems to me they have the most solid marriages tbh.

No my cousin got married at 18 and everyone said it wouldn't last they now have 3 kids and I forget how many grandkids both have great careers. They put their family first and it worked. I'm sure it wasn't easy at times but that's what makes them a FAMILY.
18 is fine to get married if the situation is right.

Depends on the two individuals and how they live their life and their life goals

It depends on the person, obviously. Some people never really felt the need to "live muh best life" or whatever and sleep around before committing.

Ironically the people who will advocate against it will ignore the fact that people who wait until 30+ definitely don't have a good success rate, either.

No, she's not like that. She has never been into dating around. He's her first real boyfriend and I guess she is is first girlfriend. That's why I think it's going to work out.

He's Russian and in Russia they marry in their mid 20's on average and it is not uncommon to marry in their early 20's. My parents married at 19 and 20 and not divorced.
