What's the worst job you've ever had?

When I was 18 just graduated high school got a job at Subway...this was back in 2006.

Back then the subs were actually good, and they did have the $5 footlongs, but holy hell the customers were awful it was a bunch of boomers who would come in, and NEVER know what they want on their sub.

So imagine a 75 yr old guy saying "I'm going to order my regular"....OK "regular as in?" Then he starts complaining that hes a regular, and at the register tries to pull out a bunch of coupons.

Yeah that sucked! How about you MISC!

Probably just some chit job as an in-between job till something better came along.

First job at 14 was sticking shelves. At 1t didn't care.

At 18 I worked in the mall for the college shop. Was a pretty fun job at 18. Just cause of the mall and it being a college shop.

Worked a couple video stores too around that age.

Can't say I really hated any of them

Runner up job would be a short stint I did at a Holiday Inn Express. You really get to witness the greed and stupidity of the average person up close. I applied to be front desk, but would end up doing kitchen duty in the morning. People "ordering" chit like it was a buffet or iHop lol.

Last place would be the final months I did in an HOA. Pulling 12-14 hour shifts, literally managing a community while a board of Karen's and boomers ordered me around. Funny, after I left the asked for me to come back plus the place fell apart in less than a year after I left. Serves the little fuks right, I hope they drown.
I could never do those type of jobs, and now that they're going to be automated its scary Amazon, UPS, FedEX, etc any delivery service.

Was a assistant branch manager for Sherwin Williams after college. My boss was a 29-yr-old female. Every other day was literally a fukin clusterfuk. One day she’s okay, another she’s a complete idiot, then she’s moody, then she’s depressed. One time she gets into a arguement with her boyfriend and literally dips, leaving me as a trainee to run the branch. The job was made significantly worse by having a female boss. Just terrible experience all around.

Packing drywall off of forklifts in multi story condos . They use 12 foot long 3/4” drywall for the privacy walls , and they come 2 sheets together so they’re heavier than fark .

Next would be sanding mud , especially if the tapers sucked at mudding . That was terrible imo

Used to be a jelly factory at knotts berry farm.

Worked there. first day they took me into this clean room place where I had to wear the white smock, hat, booties, gloves and all that. It was where they assembled the holiday fruit trays.

There were about 10 mexican ladies assembling them who didnt speak a word of english and really never spoke at all, just worked in silence all day.

My job was to take these giant boxes of dates and sort the light ones from the dark ones. thats it.

8 hours a day in total silence.

Overnight supervisor at Wal-Mart, made like 10 cents more than a stocker but had to deal with all the BS of a manager without the manager pay.

Had to cold call financial advisors trying to sell passive large cap core stock portfolios.

BRB slept with some office hoes tho.

Absolutely hated it. And I dream of hitting my old boss across the face with a shovel and pushing his body in a lake somewhere. Or since murder is def wrong at least sleeping with his wife

Had two really bad jobs. First was wealth management. Brb series 6, 7, 63, and a couple others I can't remember. Brb selling scummy mutual funds and life insurance to moggers. Felt absolutely worthless.

Another one was labor analysis related for a healthcare conglomerate that was borderline criminally understaffed. Like real prison time was on the table.

Me: "Hey I want to be clear you absolutely do not have enough labor for this entire wing at hospital x. You are short probably 20-25 heads. Way way in the red, big trouble and serious lawsuits ahead."

Mr. Shekelberg: ".. Well we hired you to just... Figure out out. Make it work! Good luck. Don't forget if there's no staff and people die, it's your fault."

I should have quit the first week. Jake's on them though, I gave open contracts to every agency in town. Nurses were making $250k plus unlimited overtime. There was one couple there who worked like dogs and made over $2m and then basically half retired.

I did subprime auto loan collections before the average person had ever heard "subprime"

legit getting blood from a stone

the cars were so chitty that most of the time it wasn't worth the tow truck cost to repo lmao

legit 29.99% interest on some beater with too high of a price to begin with

the people had no choice because they had the worst credit imaginable

pulled a report on a woman trying to locate her and her score was literally 300, as low as it gets

every single acct was either grossly late or in collections and she had at least 100 inquiries in the hopes that some glitch somewhere would allow them to extend credit

kinda wish I had smuggled a copy of it out of there because it would be a great conversation piece

fkn lol
