He's basically saying the current Fed will repeat the mistakes of The Great Inflation from the 1970s-1980s where rates were cut too soon and inflation kicked back into high gear

Difference now is that we have those learnings and that's why people are also closely watching unemployment, joblessness, and wage growth, because rate cuts in the absence of higher unemployment and lower wage growth will 110% lead to renewed inflation. And every time reported unemployment numbers remain low, wage growth remains strong, the market prices rate cuts further and further out.

a housing crash is almost impossible due to the current supply and also banks aren't issuing loans like they did in 08 when you could lie about your income and basically anyone could get a mortgage, add to the fact there is a shortage of millions of homes compared to demand because construction fell off after the last crash and never picked up to needed levels

housing supply is not even close to where it was before covid; that was considered a "balanced" market. You would have to get double of the supply before covid before you saw any dramatic price cuts. Also people aren't going to leaving their 3% rates any time soon

what's likely is prices will move sideways and then start going back up when interest rates are loaded, a ton of pent up demand will flood the market and it will be bidding wars again. interest rates will only slow down appreciation

no skyrocket in suppy no housing crash, we are not even close to prior years and virtually no increases in the past 3 years as supply remains very low
