Modern fighters aren't better

Reminder that it's common for the boxing community to say mike tyson would get embarrassed by fury. That he's too big for him. Fuken lol ngannous first boxing fight with him was a split decision

The reality is modern fighters are worse because the talent pool is lower. Higher obesity rates, ppl staying inside all day, **** diets, etc etc. Just weaker people in general

olympic sports don't count because theyre chitty gatekept sports and they have peds specifically designed for the athletes

OP anyone that says tyson would get defeated by tyso fury is an absolute clueless fool when it comes to boxing.

Towards the end of Mike's career sure. But Mike from 86-88 he wouldn't have stood a chance

These idiots who boast an opinion. Have no clue what they are talking about or even looking at when they watch a boxing match..

i find it weird when people dismiss athletes from the 90s back...they act like humans evolved in athletically superior beings and no one born 30 years earlier could possibly compete. the bulk of skills are developed from birth to like age 17...what are modern people doing that people coming up in the in the 50s/60s couldn't possibly do?

as far as tyson...we saw what he did. the people he fought in the 80s weren't big names. douglas beat him and then that was it. sports is also a mind game. the fact that fury has stuck it out this long and stayed undefeated shows that he has an iron will...even overcoming his own demons to rise again.

tyson was basically mentally weak. he even says so himself...he said people in prison are weak people that can't function in society.

Tyson was a beast at age 17. For years, there literally was no one that they could put up against him that didn't end up looking weak in the ring with him. Don't you think that if there was someone better to try and topple him that they would have tried? He got bored and lazy because no one was in his league and he eventually got surprised.

He was probably seeing all the people who hurt him (ex wife, parents, etc) in the face of the guy he was fighting and so he was trying to kill them.

Mike Tyson is overrated af

WHO did he beat?

He got STOPPED by Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis.

He faught in a dead era & was passed prime in his early 20’s when he lost to Buster Douglas.
After that it was all down hill.

He had great potential but he never lived up to it so go by what he actually did instead of what you could have done

I used to be a huge Tyson fanboy when I was younger but over the years I have slowly realized what you wrote here. Tyson is definitely overrated.
