High heart rate issues

Have had a high heart rate since I started measuring for like 10 years now.

It varies between 80-95 usually when resting.

Walking causes it to go to the 120-130 level.

I’m 80kg/176lbs at 183cm/6ft.

Do light cardio only cause I’m scared my heart will explode in my chest if I do high intensity stuff.

When going about my day I obsess over my heart rate and check my pulse up to 50 times a day usually.

Like when I am at work it’s usually like 110 while sitting comfortably in an office so I get paranoid I will get a heart attack at work.

I’ve had a heart scan from a cardiologist and everything was normal and fine.

Currently at 93bpm in bed relaxing before going to sleep…

Is this high resting rate just my baseline for my heart rate?

This seems like too much stress on the heart working this fast when I’m relaxed and in bed.

Maybe need to see another cardiologist for further tests?

Obviously you're anxious about it, which isn't going to help.

Go get an echocardiogram to check for any abnormalities and in the meantime get some mental health help for anxiety.

Yeah I already got an ECG. Everything was fine, even my heart rate that day was only like 82 which the cardiologist said is normal.

Pretty sure it is just anxiety related plus having family history of heart attack and stroke doesn’t help.

I read you can take aspirin to lower HR. Maybe try that

There's a difference between an ECG (electrocardiogram) where they hook you up to leads and check your heart rate and an actual ultrasound of your heart (echocardiogram). ECG is the first thing they do and rarely tells you anything useful unless you have an abnormal rhythm, which would have to be happening right then. An echo actually checks all your valves, arteries, etc for abnormalities.

But I'd almost guarantee your situation is just anxiety, and that's coming from a person with an actual heart condition.

I’ve gotten both. The leads first then the echo one. The results I got says “Transthoracic echocardiogram”. The results for all the valves and stuff was normal.

I’ve seem to have gotten it stuck in my head that my heart will stop working suddenly

Anxiety and obsessing over your pulse will only make it worse. What’s your BP?

Damn, good luck with that.

Tachy means over 100 right? so I guess i have tachycardia often throughout the day while resting or doing basic stuff like working or doing dishes etc.

I need to relax, maybe try mediate or something

About 5 years ago when I first checked BP at the doctors it was like 160/100 (but I was coming off a massive bender). Last time at the doctors like 6 months ago it was 130/90 late in the day after work.

When I check at home when at a fully rested state it varies from 110/70 to 125/85.

what watch are you using for measuring? I used a Garmin watch back in the days it showed me all kinds of ****ed up readings witch made me paranoid. Switched to apple watch and no more irregular readings and all is good.

How are you testing it? Manually or with a machine? The machines can vary greatly and be inaccurate.

Also, if you were tested by a cardiologist he would probably be the best source of information.

For 10 years you have had this issue and you've been fine?
Tests came back all fine.

It sounds like you have some sort of anxiety that needs to be figured out, and then also you need to stop obsessing over your heart rate which will make it worse.

Otherwise make sure you're getting enough sodium/potassium/magnesium and you should be completely fine as long as you eat better too.

you're going to be okay OP.

I’m a fat retarded manlet at 237lbs and my HR doesn’t go over 115 on a walk with my dog

Also your heart rate shouldn’t be 93 before going to bed

Sometimes it happens to me if I smoke weed or something but I recently quit for good

My heart rate when I wake up is around 60-70 and when I goto bed it goes back to that 70s range

It’s 90% mostly anxiety that your experiencing I wouldn’t worry and stop checking your HR

Unless you are vaxxed it’s 100% over (dead fkn srs)

Take Magnesium Citrate, it will lower your heart rate and help regulate it. Also cut sugar way down in our diet

Brah im the same as you. I check mine often. Its called anxiety. Just stop checking it. I notice mine is low on a empty stomach and shoots up after i eat. Ive learned to be comfortable with a high pulse after i eat. Learning to be comfortable with it is what will help you the most.

I stopped eating 3 meals a day. If i start my day off with a big breakfast I have a high pulse all day. Watch what you eat and when. See if food affects you like me.
