Less important is where you buy the clothes. More important is that they fit well. If you can afford it, get your clothes tailored.

If you're looking for cheap, SheIn is a good option but the quality is meh
They have larger sizes though so it should work

Otherwise, sign up for H&M and they have major sales once a month

Depends on whats around, just go in and try some chit on, Kohls, macy's, nordstrom ect.

Also, has anyone noticed that their normal shirt size is now so much bigger? Its like the standards of clothing has switched to accomodate obese americans or something

Just depends on your style. If you don't mind spending money I'd just go to the Oakbrook Mall and walk around. They have just about everything you need.

Otherwise I just shop around online at this point. So many stores just don't have the right size of stuff nowadays too.

Shopping is annoying. Boots I wear thursday boots.

I also wear these daily for work and for rucking/hiking.

thursday boots were my only clothing splurge...got the combat/construction type boots that go under jeans good. they are comfy for boots but the lugs on the bottom did wear down a good bit with daily wear

when it comes to clothes i don't like to think too much...throw on jeans, tshirt/henley/sweat shirt...coat if needed, boots and go.

I will continue to beat the drum for Poshmark and Ebay.

Buying used saves you 70% easy over new, and it's a total buyer's market. Way more people are selling used clothes than buying them, so you can get some real deals. I am trying to sell some of my old large shirts on Ebay right now, and 2 shirts combined have 3 views. My watch lists have chiet that has been sitting around for months with no one biting, so sellers are kind of desperate.

Just bought a shirt last week on Ebay that was $120 new in the mall, got it for $25 with shipping. About 80% off. The buyer wanted $30 but took my offer for $20. I'll have to post a rate fit/10 thread with it.

The only trick is to know your measurements. Either get a flexible tape measure and measure your torso, neck, back length, waist etc, or find a shirt that fits you really well and take measurements on that. Then only shop for chiet that fits those numbers.

Fit is everything, even more so than price. But there's so many people throwing clothes out, and so many middle aged moms trying to run a side hustle re-selling them, that you usually don't need to compromise on either.
