This is brutal. Not seeing how he recovers from this. If this gets any traction at some point he will be asked to take them off and that will be extremely uncomfortable to watch. Not because he's short - I mean it probably is a liability in politics to some extent, but damn he made the problem so much worse by trying to pull this off. Definitely feels like a Howard Dean type of moment. Much worse, actually - assuming it's true and it looks pretty apparent that it is. Needs to start wearing lace up oxfords or something asap and just deal with any ridicule at this point, if he continues to try to pull this off it will be terrible for him. Humiliating.
